The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s efforts in the extraction of those caught up in the conflict in Sudan

After the clash between the Sudanese Army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) recently, and the death and injury of hundreds so far, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia had a prominent role in the extraction of citizens and civilians of different nationalities from Sudan, which left a mark, as is usual by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s government throughout history; the Kingdom has always been one of the first countries to offer a helping hand to everyone in times of crisis, and has always had an important and outstanding role in such situations. That is evident in the Kingdom’s many honourable and humane efforts, its latest being the extraction of those caught up in the conflict in Sudan through Saudi Frigates from Port Sudan to Jeddah through the red sea, which takes approximately 20 hours. Moreover, both King Abdullah Air Base and King Faisal Naval Base in Jeddah received dozens of those caught up in the conflict from countless different nationalities coming from Sudan aboard Saudi military ships in an ongoing process initiated by the Kingdom, with the number of those extracted reaching 5000 persons of diverse nationalities since the start of the extraction so far. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the efforts devoted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the wise leadership of its royalty in these extraction processes of citizens and the neighbouring countries’ subjects in Sudan are still ongoing, and, in light of this, many countries and organizations across the world expressed their appreciation and gratitude towards the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s government for its role in the extraction of subjects from Sudan and the assurance of their safety. Furthermore, the Embassy of Sudan in Saudi Arabia indicated its gratefulness for the Kingdom’s efforts and its role in the extraction of foreign subjects from Sudan and the declaration of the current truce.

جهود المملكة في إجلاء العالقين في السودان

بعد تفجر الأوضاع بين الجيش السوداني وقوات «الدعم السريع» خلال الأيام الماضية، ومقتل وإصابة مئات حتى الآن لقد برز دور المملكة العربية السعودية في إجلاء المواطنين والمقيمين على أرض السودان من الجنسيات المختلفة ليكن لها في هذا الحدث العالمي بصمة ليست مستغربة فهذا ما عهدناه من حكومة المملكة العربية السعودية عبر التاريخ الممتد فهي من أوائل الدول في مد يد العون للجميع ففي أوقات الأزمات دائمًا ما يكون للمملكة العربية دورًا مهمًا و بارزًا؛ ظهر ذلك جليا في العديد من المواقف المشرفة والإنسانية آخرها كان إجلاء العالقين في السودان وذلك عبر رحلة تنطلق من ميناء بورتسودان عبر الفرقاطة السعودية إلى جدة على البحر الأحمر تستغرق نحو 20 ساعة واستقبلت قاعدتا الملك عبد الله الجوية، والملك فيصل البحرية بجدة، عشرات العالقين من عدة جنسيات مختلفة، قادمين من السودان على متن سفن عسكرية سعودية، في عملية متواصلة تقوم بها المملكة إذ بلغ إجمالي من تم إجلاؤهم من السودان منذ بدء عمليات الإجلاء حتى هذه اللحظة نحو 5000 شخصًا من جنسيات مختلفة ووفق بيان وزارة الخارجية فإن الجهود التي تبذلها المملكة بتوجيهات من القيادة الرشيدة، في عمليات إجلاء مواطنيها ورعايا الدول الشقيقة والصديقة من السودان لا زالت مستمرة وفي هذا السياق عبَّرت العديد من دول العالم، إضافة للمنظمات، عن امتنانها، ووجّهت الشكر والتقدير لحكومة المملكة العربية السعودية على دورها في نقل الرعايا من السودان حفاظًا على سلامتهم وقد أعربت سفارة السودان بالسعودية عن تثمينها لجهود السعودية، ودورها في إجلاء الرعايا الأجانب من البلاد، والوصول للهدنة الحالية.
